The Republic Scientific Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev commences at ASOIU

On December 5, the opening ceremony of the Republic scientific conference on the theme "Search Problems and Perspectives of Oil and Gas Fields," dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, took place at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The scientific conference, jointly organized by Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, commenced with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following this, a moment of silence was observed to honor the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. A video presentation dedicated to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was shown during the conference.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, greeted the participants and spoke about the exceptional services and groundbreaking initiatives of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of the oil industry, as well as in other areas, during his leadership in Azerbaijan. He highlighted the importance of holding such a conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev for both the university and young researchers. Vazeh Asgarov expressed hope that the conference would make a valuable contribution to the scientific and theoretical experiences of young scholars and professionals conducting research on the exploration and exploitation of new oil and gas fields.

The director of the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, who spoke about the successful oil strategy of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, expressed his gratitude for the support provided in organizing and conducting the conference at ASOIU. He emphasized the importance of the conference for young researchers engaged in the study and exploration of modern problems and directions in the geology of oil and gas fields.

Following this, Professor Latafat Gardashova, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs at ASOIU, Professor Vagif Gurbanov, Deputy Director of the Institute of Oil and Gas, and Associate Professor Namad Pashayev, Dean of the Faculty of Geological Exploration, highlighted the special importance of the conference in studying and researching the modern problems and prospective directions of the geology of oil and gas fields and discussed the scientific relevance of the presentations.

The conference will continue with plenary sessions and is scheduled to last for two days.
