ASOIU hosts the 72nd Students' Scientific-Technical Conference

On December 11, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) commenced the 72nd Students' Scientific-Technical Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

The conference began with the rendition of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by a moment of silence to honour the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Subsequently, a video dedicated to National Leader Heydar Aliyev was presented during the conference.

In his opening speech addressing the participants, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, greeted the attendees and emphasized the significance of the 72nd Students' Scientific-Technical Conference for young researchers dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Discussing the ideology of Azerbaijani nationalism and the unparalleled services of the National Leader in the face of the people and the nation, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov highlighted the special place of the youth policy, which holds a prominent position in the rich statehood tradition of the National Leader. He noted that President Ilham Aliyev is continuing the high-level youth policy in various fields, similar to other areas and that the youth policy is currently experiencing a new developmental stage. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov wished success to the conference, expressing hope that the presented articles and theses would contribute to the application of modern solutions.

Maya Abdullayeva, the Secretary of the ASOIU Student Scientific Society and Associate Professor of the Department of "Petrochemical Technology and Industrial Ecology," announced that 264 materials, including 165 theses and 99 articles, were submitted for the conference across 9 sections. After technical evaluation and plagiarism checks, 196 articles and theses were included in the conference program.

Following the opening ceremony, the conference continued with panel sessions.
