The Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University's (ASOIU) scientific indicators are improving in international databases. In 2023, based on references to its scholars and their scientific articles, ASOIU ranks 3rd among higher education institutions in Azerbaijan, 5th in collaboration with ANAS institutions, within the databases of "Scopus" and "Web of Science" and 2nd in both directions on the "Google Scholar" international bibliometric platform.

For comparison, in 2022, ASOIU held positions in the 5th tier on "Scopus," 6th on "Web of Science," and 7th on "Scholar." Analyzing the rise in references to ASOIU scholars and their scientific articles in bibliometric databases over the past year, according to H-index indicators, "Scopus" increased from 37 to 40, "Web of Science" from 34 to 37, and "Google Scholar" from 42 to 67.

It's worth noting that in the past year, ASOIU staff have published 350 scientific articles in "Scopus" and "Web of Science."
