On December 13, Professor Pierre Collet, the scientific expert of Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) and the computer science specialist from Strasbourg University, conducted a seminar on "Mathematics, Information, and Computing" at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The seminar, attended by bachelor students majoring in computer engineering at the Information Technologies and Control Faculty of ASOIU, as well as doctoral, master's students, and teachers, focused on discussing the main differences and similarities between 'computer science' and 'informatics.' Professor P. Collet also explained the nomenclature and nature of computer science in various countries, sharing his own experiences.

Subsequently, students had the opportunity to ask questions, fostering an interactive session.
