On December 18, the Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, met with SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova.

Before the meeting, Elchin Bagirov, Advisor to Vice President for Geology and Geophysics at SOCAR, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Latifa Nasibova, acting Executive Director of Azerbaijani-French University closely acquainted themselves with the current state of the university. They visited ASOIU's Mineralogy Museum, Laser Center, and Netcad Technology Center, as well as laboratories and computer rooms at ASOIU and UFAZ.

Following a close acquaintance with the current conditions at the university, during the meeting, potential collaboration issues between SOCAR and ASOIU. Discussions included the execution of joint projects and programs in the future, the opportunity for ASOIU students to gain experience at SOCAR, and a broad exchange of ideas regarding other prospective initiatives. As a result, it is envisaged that a Memorandum will be signed between the company and the university to further develop and implement collaboration in the mentioned areas.
