On September 25 Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held a meeting with the freshmen of the Faculty of Economics and Management. The meeting was attended by ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev and Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) Namig Ganjayev.

Making an opening statement, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs A. Babayev congratulated the young people for becoming the students and wished them success in their studies. Associate Professor A. Babayev noted that apart from studying and obtaining a specialty, students should also comply with several factors. Saying that discipline and training of students are as important as science, Associate Professor A. Babayev introduced the participants to disciplinary rules of ASOIU.

STUC Chairman N. Ganjayev provided a comprehensive information on the clubs functioning at ASOIU and talked about available conditions that help the students to spend their leisure time productively and participate in the social activities of the university. N. Ganjayev said that each student may join and take active participation in “Ganjlik” song and dance ensemble, “Magnat” intellectual club, “Club of funny and resourceful people” (KVN), as well as “ASOIU Debate club” and sports club.

At the end of the event, the students received answers to their questions.
