A semifinal round of the Republic Science Olympiad (RSO) in the field of computer science was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) under the organization of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Participants were tasked with solving 4 algorithmic problems using C++ and Python programming languages within a 4-hour time frame. Evaluation was conducted using an automatic assessment system. Simultaneously, the semifinal round in computer science was organized at ADA University, Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Azerbaijani-French University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku State University, Baku Engineering University, as well as at computer laboratories of other universities, and at the Nakhchivan STEAM Center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. A total of 1290 students participated in the semifinal round. It is worth noting that the RSO in computer science is sponsored by "Kapital Bank".
