ASOIU hosts Iftar dinner in honor of martyr alumni

On April 4, an iftar dinner was organized at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) in memory of the university's martyred alumni.

During the iftar dinner, ASOIU's Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, along with the university's professorial and teaching staff, as well as the families and close relatives of the martyred alumni, participated. Initially, flowers were placed in front of the Complex dedicated to the memory of the ASOIU alumni who were martyred during the Patriotic War, and in front of the statue of the National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov.

During the ongoing iftar dinner event, ASOIU Acting Rector Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov expressed his gratitude to the families and relatives of our martyrs for accepting the invitation during the holy month of Ramadan. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov said that the memory of our martyrs would always be remembered with infinite respect, and family members are the closest people to the university. He said that, under the leadership of Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijan Army liberated lands which had been occupied by the enemy for nearly 30 years. Thanks to the heroism of our sons, including our martyrs, fast is observed and Iftar prayers are performed on the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, which is fully secured today.

In his speech, ASOIU's Associate Professor Ata Babayev spoke about the greatness of martyrdom. He stated that being with the families of our martyrs during these sacred days, especially during the Holy Ramadan month, was a matter of great pride for each of us.

The families of the martyrs expressed their gratitude for the attention and care shown to them.
