On April 8, the Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov led a group of university staff and students, including participants from the "ASOIU Green World Ambassadors" program, to join members of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Surakhani District Organization in a tree-planting campaign.
The action held in the Surakhani district of Baku city took place within the framework of the program of events related to the declaration of 2024 “Green World Solidarity Year” by the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 25, 2023.
400 trees were planted during the event, accompanied by great enthusiasm from the participants.
Tree-planting campaigns are regularly conducted to serve noble purposes such as expanding green areas in the capital city, supporting ecological balance in the region, and promoting a sense of care for nature among people.
