ASOIU student becomes World Karate Champion

ASOIU's first-year student from the Economics and Management faculty, Nijat Kerimli, achieved the title of World Champion. Competing in the 14th World Shotokan Karate Championships among youth held in Albena, Bulgaria, from April 12-14, 2024, in the 75 kg weight category, Nijat secured victory in both kata and kumite disciplines, proudly raising the flag of Azerbaijan.
