Delegation from Azerbaijan meets Azerbaijani students studying at Warwick University in the United Kingdom

From April 15-18, 2024, meetings of the Steering Committee of the MSc Dual Diploma Program in Renewable Energy, jointly implemented by Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and Warwick University in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, took place. During these meetings, a delegation of five representatives from ASOIU, led by Acting Rector Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, as well as Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nijat Mammadli, and Head of the State Programme Implementation Unit, Turan Topalova, participated. In addition, members of both higher education institutions also listened to presentations from the Advisor to the Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Head of the State Programme Implementation Unit.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held meetings with Azerbaijani students studying various specialties such as "Supply Chain and Logistics Management," "Management," "Chemical Engineering," and "Cybersecurity" at Warwick University. Among the students continuing their master's studies at Warwick University are graduates of ASOIU.

At the beginning of the meeting, Acting Rector Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov welcomed the participants, providing information to students about the Dual Diploma Program between ASOIU and Warwick University. It was noted that Azerbaijani students studying under the program will participate in the "Summer School" to be held at Warwick University's "Warwick Manufacturing Group" (WMG) department in July of the current year. They were informed that they would have the opportunity to meet with their fellow students who will travel to the UK. The students warmly welcomed this news, expressing their willingness to support their fellow students enrolled in the Dual Diploma Program. Each student attending the meeting shared their personal experiences of studying at Warwick University.

It is worth noting that the majority of students attending the meeting are young people studying at Warwick University under the State Program. The students expressed their interest in returning to their country as specialists in the future and sincerely thanked for the opportunities created for them.

During the meeting, issues related to the students' studies at Warwick University were closely examined, questions and suggestions were listened to, and the questions that interested them were answered.
