On September 30 the Fundamental library of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) was awarded for participation in the V Baku International Book Fair, organized at Baku Sports Palace by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Notably, the fair, where 100 local and over 40 foreign publishing houses, universities, bookstores and other organizations were registered, also featured 150 books from ASOIU Fundamental library. Heydar Aliyev heritage, ancient manuscripts, miniature books, books covering other areas of oil and industry, including ASOIU’s “Oil and Industry” magazine were among the exhibited books. In addition, ASOIU joined the book charity campaign entitled “You should read too”, organized by the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Global Shapers Community of the World Economic Forum, and donated to the fund 40 titles of books and journals.
Within the 3-day fair, along with the demonstration and sale of local and foreign publications, were held a number of events, book presentations and meetings with authors. Readers had a chance to get acquainted with both local and foreign publications.
