On October 3 President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an order on granting the personal stipend of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Professor of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Doctor of Technical Sciences Kamal Abdullayev.
According to the order:
1. The personal stipend of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall be given to Kamal Mikhman Abdullayev for his long-term and effective activity rendered in the field of education of Azerbaijan.
2. The Cabinet of Minister shall resolve issues arising from this order.
Kamal Abdullayev was born in 1936 in Ajakhur village of Gusar district. In 1961 he graduated from Azerbaijan Oil and Chemistry Institute (ASOIU). Professor K. Abdullayev is the author of more than 300 scientific works, 6 monographs published abroad, 10 textbooks about thermal power engineering published in Azerbaijani for the first time, over 20 scientific research.
In 2010, by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev the scientist was awarded Shohrat Order for his great services in the development of Azerbaijani science.
Elected a member of Academy of Sciences of many countries in the world, Kamal Abdullayev’s name was included in “Influential scientists of the 20th century”, an encyclopedia published in the USA.
In 2000, he was granted M.V. Lomonosov Prize of the Academy of Sciences of Saint Petersburg for his research, discoveries and inventions, recommendations on the ecology of power engineering. He supervised 60 candidates of sciences and 5 doctors of sciences.
