Info session on SABAH Groups admissions held at ASOIU

On May 21, an info session regarding the admission of undergraduate and master's students to the SABAH groups for the 2024-2025 academic year was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The event was attended by ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, Head of the SABAH Groups Executive Committee of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elza Samadova, Head of the SABAH groups at ASOIU, Arzu Ibrahimova, and students.

Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov welcomed the participants and spoke about the significance of SABAH groups in enhancing the quality of education and teaching.

A video was shown at the event to introduce the activities and objectives of the SABAH groups.

Elza Samadova, Head of the SABAH Groups Executive Committee, provided detailed information about the SABAH groups, discussing the selection and admission process, educational opportunities, and other advantages. She highlighted the conducive learning environment and priority issues for students, noting that SABAH group graduates play a significant role in the labour market as highly skilled professionals.

Arzu Ibrahimova, Head of the SABAH groups at ASOIU, provided information about the university’s SABAH centre, discussing the students' preparation levels and statistics. At the end, questions from students were answered.

It should be noted that SABAH was established to improve the quality of education in higher education, create a new and different environment within the higher education system, develop knowledgeable, skilled, and prepared students, and ensure the preparation of professionals in line with the increasing demands of the labour market.
