On May 30, a presentation ceremony was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University (ASOIU) for the book "Meetings Behind the Scenes," dedicated to the 101st anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
At the presentation ceremony, the proceedings commenced with the placement of a wreath before the statue of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, honouring his memory with profound reverence. The event commenced with a moment of silence in remembrance of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem.
Following this, a video highlighting the behind-the-scenes talks of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev with cultural and artistic personalities was presented.
In his opening address at the presentation ceremony, the Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov conveyed his appreciation for the introduction of such a significant publication dedicated to the cultural and artistic legacy of Heydar Aliyev at the university. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov underscored Heydar Aliyev's commitment to cultural advancement, heritage preservation, and artist support, extending gratitude to the book's author for this invaluable contribution.
Renowned "People's Artist" and recipient of a personal pension from the President of Azerbaijan, Professor Zamig Aliyev, reminisced about backstage dialogues between Heydar Aliyev and artists, sharing anecdotes with attendees. Professor Zamig Aliyev expressed profound gratitude to ASOIU's leadership and staff for their support in arranging the gathering and for publishing the "Meetings Behind the Scenes" book.
Subsequently, Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund of the Ministry of Science and Education; Siyavush Karimi, Rector of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory and a "People's Artist"; Vugar Rahimzade, the Chairman of the Xetai District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and Chief Editor of "Iki Sahil" newspaper; along with Merited Artist Azad Shukurov and other state representatives and cultural figures, reflected on Heydar Aliyev's cultural contributions and his patronage of artists. They emphasized Heydar Aliyev's invaluable role in preserving and promoting Azerbaijan's cultural heritage, its development, global dissemination, and recognition. They highlighted the significance of conveying Heydar Aliyev's cultural and artistic contributions to future generations through the book.
The event concluded with captivating performances by artists, showcasing a series of captivating musical numbers.
