On May 31, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), in partnership with the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Sabunchu District Organization and Balakhani Operations Company, organized an event titled "The Responsibilities Faced by the Oil Sector in the Green World Solidarity Year" within the framework of the "Green World Solidarity Year."
The event began with placing bouquets in front of the bust of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, commemorating his memory with deep respect. The event commenced with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan and a moment of silence in honour of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, as well as the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
Addressing the audience in his opening speech, Vazeh Asgarov, the acting rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and a member of the NAP Board, welcomed the guests to the university. He emphasized the importance of developing relations with institutions and highlighted the significance of university-industry cooperation as a priority issue. Speaking about the modern challenges within the framework of the "Green World Solidarity Year," Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov emphasized the importance of joint efforts in this endeavour.
Speaking about the significance of green energy projects and global challenges like COP29, Rovshan Rzayev, President of the Balakhani Operations Company, Araz Khudadanov, Chairman of the YAP Sabunchu District Organization, Vugar Rahimzade, Chairman of the YAP Khatai District Organization, and Chingiz Mammadov, Project Manager and Advisor for COP29, highlighted that implementing such projects in our country not only addresses the energy sector but also sets important tasks for the development of the oil industry and scientific potential.
