On June 13, the "Green World Ambassadors" from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and UFAZ visited the "Eco Park" Innovation Center as part of the "Green University" project.
Considering that 2024 has been declared the "Green World Solidarity Year" in the Republic of Azerbaijan and that our capital will host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, a Working Group has been established at ASOIU.
It is noteworthy that several projects are planned to be implemented throughout the year under the organization of this Working Group. In support of COP29 and the "Green World Solidarity Year," volunteer students serving as "Green World Ambassadors" visited the "Eco Park" Innovation Center, which was organized by the Working Group. The center's director, Tahir Shikhaliyev, deputy chief Emil Avazov, and department head Ilkin Shafiyev provided detailed information to the students about the park's creation and its greenery. The transformation of the park from a former oil area into a lush green space, including the presence of rare plants, greatly intrigued the students.
