A meeting of the Academic Board was held at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). As per tradition, Acting Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, congratulated Associate Professor Elbrus Ahmadov, Head of the "Electromechanics" Department, on his 60th anniversary, wishing him good health and success in his work.

Following this, the agenda items were announced to the board members and approved. Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor Narmina Aliyeva, provided information on the work plan of ASOIU's Academic Board for the 2024-2025 academic year. Subsequently, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov gave detailed information on ASOIU's participation in the World University Rankings (THE). He stated that ASOIU, aiming to become a Research University, continues to advance in the world university rankings and that expectations for the near future are even higher. Therefore, the university's faculty and staff must work together as a team and diligently fulfil their responsibilities to achieve high accomplishments.

During the meeting, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, reported on the exam session of the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Ulviyya Abbasova, presented a report on ASOIU's participation in the world university rankings (QS). These and other reports covered the tasks carried out at ASOIU during the current academic year, as well as the activity plan and goals for the 2024-2025 academic year.

After analyzing the successful completion of the current academic year, the tasks carried out, scientific achievements, and other important issues, the Academic Board deemed the results satisfactory. Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov shared his comments and suggestions on the discussed topics, provided instructions on eliminating shortcomings, and outlined the tasks ahead.
