The prestigious ranking organization "QS Quacquarelli Symonds" has announced the results of the "QS Europe 2025" and "QS Western Asia 2025" rankings. A total of 685 higher education institutions from 42 regions of Europe have met the criteria to be included in the ranking list.
Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) has advanced by 40 positions compared to last year, rising to 394th place in the "QS Europe 2025" ranking.
In the "QS Western Asia 2025" ranking, ASOIU has improved its position by 2 places, securing the 19th spot.
For the "QS World Ranking 2025," ASOIU is ranked between 1001-1200 globally and 2nd in Azerbaijan.
The significant progress compared to last year's results is attributed to ASOIU's academic and employer indicators, which have increased fourfold, the international research network indicator, which has risen from 1 to 6.6, and the ratio of international faculty, which has increased from 10.1 to 17.4. Notably, ASOIU leads in Azerbaijan for the international faculty ratio and ranks 634th globally.
Additionally, ASOIU is ranked in the TOP-500 worldwide for employment rates.
It is also worth mentioning that Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) received applications from 5,663 universities from 106 countries to participate in the World University Rankings. Of these, 1,503 universities were included in the "QS World Ranking 2025."
