Spring semester examination session concludes at ASOIU

The examination session for the spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) has concluded.

During the examination session, 9430 out of 9601 full-time bachelor students participated. Among them, 200 students achieved excellent grades, 1241 students received excellent, very good, and good grades, and 4502 students received mixed grades. Overall, 5943 students passed their exams successfully, while 3487 students failed to earn credits in their courses, and 171 students did not attend the exams without a valid reason.

The overall success rate for full-time bachelor students at ASOIU was 63.0%, with a quality rate of 15.3%.

For part-time bachelor students, 121 out of 125 participated in the exams, with 93 passing successfully, while 28 failed to earn course credits. Four students received excellent, very good, and good grades, while 89 received mixed grades. The success rate for part-time bachelor students at ASOIU was 76.9%, with a quality rate of 3.3%.

Among the 1347 master students, 1247 participated in the exams, with 1124 passing successfully, and 123 failing to earn course credits. Overall, 88 master students received excellent, very good, and good grades, while 619 received mixed grades. The success rate for master students at ASOIU was 89.9%, with a quality rate of 40.4%.

Of the 127 students enrolled in the MBA program, 84 participated in the exams, with 74 passing successfully, and 10 failing to earn course credits. One student received an excellent grade, 37 received very good, and good grades, and 36 received mixed grades. The success rate for MBA students was 88.1%, with a quality rate of 45.2%.

All 474 students from the second and third year SABAH groups participated in the exams. Among them, 427 passed successfully, while 47 failed to earn course credits. Sixty-four students received excellent grades, 228 received very good, and good grades, and 134 received mixed grades. The success rate for SABAH group students was 90.1%, with a quality rate of 61.6%.

It should be noted that the examination session for the spring semester at ASOIU began in the second half of May for part-time students and on May 31 for full-time students.

All necessary measures were taken to ensure the organization of the examination session in accordance with the existing regulations and to guarantee transparency and objectivity in the assessment of students' knowledge. The Examination Observation Center monitored the exam process to ensure transparency.
