ASOIU’s stand arouses great interest at the 11th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition

Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University is participating in the 11th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition that is being held at Baku Expo Centre with the official support of the Ministry of Education. The motto of the exhibition is “Human capital is our greatest asset”. Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University provides the visitors with an extensive presentation of its taught specialties, double programs, international relations.

Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov, heads of higher and secondary education institutions and representatives of companies offering various educational services took part in the opening ceremony.

Greeting the participants, Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov said the exhibition highlights the new projects implemented by the Ministry over the past years and existing education opportunities. The Minister noted that the exhibition allows visitors to cast a broader glance at positive changes in the education system, get acquainted with innovative projects of startupers, follow the general scope of joint cooperation with foreign universities.  

Reminding that 2017/2018 academic year was declared “Quality in education year”, Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov underlined that this aims to ensure quality changes in the education sector and raise worthy citizens meeting the requirements of the 21st century and having flexible thinking abilities.

The ceremony also featured presentations and performance of winners of local and international competitions and folk dancers.

Visitors then viewed stands of the exhibition. At ASOIU’s stand, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov about taught specialties, double programs and international relations of the university. In addition, M. Jabbarov became acquainted with prototypes of GRP, KubiRub, Camtouch, Multivizor and other projects of ASOIU “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center.

ASOIU’s stand caused great interest of visitors as well. Books and training manuals about engineering, petrochemistry and information technologies of the university’s academic staff are demonstrated at ASOIU’s stand. By approaching ASOIU’s stand, visitors become acquainted with the university’s education opportunities and innovations through videos, prospects in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages, 3 different booklets, “Oil and Industry” magazine published in 2 languages. The prototypes of GRP, KubiRub, Camtouch, Multivizor and other projects of “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center functioning under ASOIU are also demonstrated at ASOIU’s stand. It should also be noted that three projects of “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center will be separately presented to visitors at the exhibition lecture hall on October 7. Member of ASOIU “Ganjlik” song and dance ensemble, winner of numerous international festivals with a history of more than 50 years, will perform on the central stage of the exhibition hall. It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) operating under ASOIU also presents its wide education opportunities at the exhibition.

A total of 14 higher education institutions have their stands at the 11th Azerbaijan International Education Exhibition (Education 2017). Germany, Austria, Belarus, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia and other countries will present their universities, colleges, general education institutions and educational centers at the exhibition.

In general, within the frames of the 3-day-long exhibition, visitors will be presented with Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, foreign language courses, internship and training programs. Exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to directly speak to representatives of leading higher education institutions to inquire about the application process, tuition fees and other issues.
