On September 10, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and the Education Development Fund (EDF) as part of the “TələbəPlus” project.

The signing ceremony was attended by ASOIU's Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, the Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, Elnur Nasibov, staff from both the university and the fund, as well as representatives from Kapital Bank and Visa.

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov welcomed the guests and provided information about preparations for the new academic year. He discussed the collaboration between the university and the fund, noting that the distribution of new student cards to ASOIU students would be beneficial. He also expressed the university’s interest in working with the fund on other significant projects.

During the event, Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, highlighted that the project aims to ensure students across the country can benefit from the same discounts and privileges, while also supporting their social lives.

He mentioned that initially, 150,000 student cards would be distributed as part of the project. The plan is to extend the “TələbəPlus” card to students at colleges and vocational schools in the future, in addition to those at higher education institutions.
