On October 15, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted a lecture titled “Green Technologies and Renewable Energy” in connection with the “Green World Solidarity Year.”
The lecture was conducted by Nazim Mammadov, an instructor from the Department of Petrochemical Technology and Industrial Ecology, specializing in the Master’s level of the Chemical Engineering program within the Faculty of Chemical Technology (CTF).
The presentation covered a range of topics including waste and carbon emission reduction, energy efficiency, biomass production, and wind energy utilization. N.Mammadov emphasized the importance of energy resources in the development and distribution of production forces, highlighting the continuous growth across all sectors of the country's economy.
The discussion also covered pressing issues related to the efficient use of alternative energy resources and the transition to green energy. Benefits of wind and solar energy for Azerbaijan’s newly liberated territories were also highlighted.
At the end of the lecture, questions from students were answered.
