The Presentation of “Bir” Student-Volunteer Program to first-year students was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on October 16.
Addressing the event, ASOIU Vice-Rector for educational affairs Associate Professor Ata Babayev gave advice to young people, encouraged them to become volunteers, unite for our country and future, fairly represent Azerbaijan in domestic and international events.
Providing freshmen with comprehensive information on the establishment of “Bir” Student-Volunteer Program, manager of the program Janoghlan Ilyasov said the initiative was offered by the Ministry of Education to enable students to develop themselves and gain experience. He also spoke about the establishment of the program, its activities, objectives, advantages and opportunities offered to the youth. The event was continued by interesting performances of program coordinators at the university.
An entertaining quiz was held for students at the end of the event.
Notably, taking into account the planning of wide-ranging events in the country and the great role of students-volunteers in the organization of these events, “Bir” Student-Volunteer Program was established by the Ministry of Education in order to systemize the volunteer activity, create a single database of students-volunteers and engage students in volunteering.
