SAVAT federation assembly held at ASOIU

On October 23, the Azerbaijan SAVAT Federation Assembly was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

The event was attended by ASOIU's Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov, SAVAT Federation President Rafig Aliyev, Member of Parliament Mirjalil Gasimli, and federation members.

First, SAVAT Federation President Rafig Aliyev provided detailed information to participants about SAVAT as a sport and the federation's activities. Speaking about the successes achieved by Azerbaijani youth in SAVAT, R. Aliyev said that continuous joint hard work and determination underlie our athletes' achievements.

ASOIU's Acting Rector, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov welcomed the event participants and congratulated them on their victory. Speaking about the large-scale state programs implemented for the healthy and educated development of youth in Azerbaijan, Associate Professor Vazeh Askarov said that today's success is the result of a solid foundation laid years ago. He added that the historic victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army on the battlefield under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev four years ago has also been a great stimulus for our youth in sports competitions. Today, regardless of which country our athletes compete in, they are represented and respected as representatives of a victorious nation.

Member of Parliament Mirjalil Gasimli spoke about the importance of youth health and stated that regardless of their profession, young people should first stay away from bad habits, and athletes should build their victories on healthy training and its results. Naturally, in such cases, victory is inevitable. Speaking about the process of sports becoming widespread in our country, the MP noted that there is serious interest in sports not only in the capital and surrounding regions but also in remote regions today, and the number of successful young people is increasing.

Then, Federation judges and teachers spoke about their achievements and upcoming goals, expressing confidence that they will fly the Azerbaijani flag at high peaks in the upcoming World Championship.

At the assembly, athletes also shared their impressions and the feelings and excitement they experienced during competitions with the participants.

Finally, staff members and athletes who contributed to the federation's successes were awarded "Honorary Diplomas."
