A delegation from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) visited Tashkent State Technical University (TSTU) and Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
Professor Latafat Gardashova, ASOIU's Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Kamala Aliyeva from ASOIU's "Instrumentation Engineering" Department, and doctoral student Shamil Ahmadov, who were on an official visit to participate in the 13th International Conference on "Intelligent Systems for Industrial Automation" in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, held meetings with vice-rectors for scientific affairs of Tashkent Technical University and Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, faculty members undergoing professional development from various higher education institutions in Tashkent, staff from the International Relations Department, and persons responsible for QS rankings.
Professor Latafat Gardashova was invited to TSTU's "Teacher Development Center." During the meeting, which was attended by teachers from various universities, she provided detailed information about UFAZ (French-Azerbaijani University) bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, laboratories, and the dual diploma program with the University of Warwick, UK, for the master's degree in "Renewable Energy Sources." She answered questions about dual diploma programs from staff of universities and institutes located in Tashkent.
During the meetings, discussions were held about future joint scientific projects, student-teacher exchange programs, and work with QS experts. Additionally, topics discussed included organizing online meetings between ASOIU and Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (TICT) for the "Food Engineering" speciality, joint use of laboratories, application of research results in teaching subjects, and conducting joint research on artificial intelligence applications in chemistry and engineering fields.
Professor Kamala Aliyeva visited the laboratory rooms of the "Automation and Electronics" department and familiarized herself with the existing facilities. The department organizes specialty-relevant clubs for students where they prepare physical models corresponding to laboratory classes.
During the meetings, the counterparts highly appreciated ASOIU's achievements in science and education and its ranking indicators, noting that existing relations with ASOIU will be further expanded and the gained experiences will be utilized.
