On November 29, an open lecture on environmental protection, including waste management, was delivered by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources as part of the “Green World Solidarity Year” at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).
Mehman Nabiyev, Head of the Waste Management Sector of the Environmental Policy Department at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, delivered a presentation titled “Waste Management.” The lecture covered the “Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development” and the “Declaration on Global Commitment to Zero Waste for Our Common Home – Earth.” Discussions also touched on waste management initiatives and ongoing projects in this field.
Additionally, Elnur Aliyev, Deputy Head of the Environmental and Labor Protection Department at "Tamiz Shahar" JSC, provided insights into the organization's activities, completed projects, and the operations of the plants under its management. He also extended an invitation to students for a guided tour of the facilities.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, where participants' questions were addressed.
