ASOIU students participate in "Student Development Summit"

Students from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) successfully represented the university at the "Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition (CTCE)" and the "Student Development Summit," held in Atyrau, Kazakhstan, from November 25 to 28.
The participants included members of the ASOIU Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE): Ilham Mammadkhanov, a 4th-year student of the Oil-Gas Production Faculty; Ayan Novruzova, a 3rd-year student of the Power Engineering Faculty; Ruslan Fazidov, a 4th-year student of the Chemical Technology Faculty; Fazila Shiralizada, a 4th-year Chemical Engineering student from the SABAH groups; as well as SOCAR's "Diligent Student" internship program winners: Aytakin Kazimova, a 4th-year Oil-Gas Production student, and Araz Akbarov and Farid Mirzali, SABAH Oil-Gas Production students.
The students actively engaged in discussions on topics such as technological innovations in the oil and gas industry, sustainable energy solutions, and ecological approaches in the sector. During the "Student Development Summit," they collaborated with peers from countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus in teams to work on practical and theoretical challenges.
The teams involving ASOIU students achieved notable successes, placing in the top three positions.
The team including Ilham Mammadkhanov secured third place with their project on "Underground Reinjection of Oil Residues." Ruslan Fazidov's team presented a project on "AI-Based Sustainable Lithium Extraction and Water Resource Recovery." Ayan Novruzova's team won first place with their project, "Gas Flaring Recovery System."
These achievements once again highlight the students' individual abilities and their strengths in teamwork on an international level. Participation in the event also provided valuable experience for their technical and personal development.
