On December 11, the Ministry of Science and Education’s Institute of Geology and Geophysics hosted a presentation in collaboration with representatives of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on strengthening international reputation and expanding collaborative ties. The event focused on the importance of participation in global rankings, the opportunities such initiatives create for higher education institutions like ASOIU, and strategies for supporting this process in the academic environment.  

In his speech, the head of a department at the Institute, Corresponding Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor Chingiz Aliyev, highlighted the role of such events in advancing scientific achievements and fostering collaboration.  

Elmar Guliyev, ASOIU’s project manager, and Orkhan Nabiyev, international projects manager, delivered presentations emphasizing the significance of global rankings in promoting inter-university collaborations, broadening scientific achievements, and enhancing academic exchanges.  

The event also saw the participation of researchers and young scholars from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, who engaged in discussions on the topic and proposed new ideas for collaboration.
