On January 7, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted an educational seminar in line with the Ministry of Science and Education’s Action Plan. The event was attended by faculty members and academic staff.  

The seminar, titled “Preventing Suicide and Domestic Violence Among Children and Adolescents and Organizing Their Leisure Time Effectively”, was introduced by Gunel Taghiyeva, a representative of ASOIU's Public Relations and Marketing Department. She highlighted the importance of safeguarding the health and well-being of adolescents and young people.  

Following the introduction, ASOIU psychologist Laman Novruzlu delivered a presentation on the subject. Her discussion covered topics such as how emotions and thoughts change during crises, the psychological causes of adolescent suicides, and the characteristics of domestic violence. She emphasized the significant role of effectively organizing leisure activities for adolescents and young people to mitigate such negative occurrences and provided insights into methods for structuring leisure time.  

The seminar was conducted in an interactive format, encouraging discussions on the topic, and participants’ questions were addressed.
