The 10th conference of the Nasimi district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) was held in Baku on October 26.

The event was attended by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for public and political issues, member of the YAP Board of Directors Ali Hasanov, member of Parliament Malahat Ibrahimgizi, head of Executive Power of Nasimi District Asif Asgarov, well-known public and political figures, university rectors, including the Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) Professor Mustafa Babanli, as well as academic staff members and students of the university.

At the conference commenced with the National Anthem, founder of YAP great leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs who lost their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty were commemorated with a minute of silence.

Addressing the event, member of the YAP Political Council, chairperson of the party’s Nasimi district branch, member of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Malahat Ibrahimgizi provided information about the work accomplished during the past period. A video featuring the creation of the New Azerbaijan Party and its successful activities within 25 years was demonstrated at the conference.

The report of the control-inspection commission of the YAP Nasimi district branch was then presented.

Member of the YAP Political Council, head of Executive Power of Nasimi district Asif Asgarov said the influence of the New Azerbaijan Party grows day by day. He emphasized that the party’s Nasimi district branch takes an active part in the public and political life of the district.

Making a speech at the conference, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for public and political issues, member of the YAP Board of Directors Ali Hasanov spoke about the factors that led to the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party, pointing at the difficult public and political situation of the country at that time. Assistant to the President noted that founded by great leader Heydar Aliyev, the New Azerbaijan Party has united people from all classes of society. Today, the New Azerbaijan Party continues to strengthen its leading role in the society as being a bearer of brilliant ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Achievements of the party constantly increase under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev.

Organizational issues were examined following the remarks.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to active members of the party’s district branch.

The message to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyev on behalf of the conference participants was adopted at the end of the conference.
