George Washington University professor conducts seminar at ASOIU

On February 18, a seminar was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) featuring Dr. Tarek El-Ghazawi, a professor at George Washington University, a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), and a renowned expert in high-performance computing (HPC). The event was organized at the initiative of ADA University.
In her opening speech, Ulviyya Abbasova, Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations at ASOIU, emphasized the importance of such international academic collaborations in fostering university development and expanding students’ access to global knowledge.
During the seminar, Dr. El-Ghazawi delivered a presentation on “Future of Computer Technology and Engineering - From HPC to AI Hardware”, sharing insights into high-performance computing, artificial intelligence technologies, and next-generation engineering solutions.
The event was attended by students and faculty members from the Faculty of IT and Control and the Faculty of Power Engineering, providing valuable exposure to international expertise in emerging technologies.
