On March 3, a delegation from East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev (Kazakhstan), led by Rector Associate Professor Saule Rakhmetullina, visited Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, welcomed the guests and provided an overview of the university’s history, international collaborations, scientific achievements, and academic processes. He emphasized that collaborating with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan, including East Kazakhstan Technical University, is of great interest to ASOIU.

Expressing her appreciation for the warm welcome, Rector Saule Rakhmetullina noted that they were already familiar with ASOIU’s alumni and its academic success.

Both sides highlighted the broad opportunities for bilateral cooperation, discussing potential projects in student and faculty exchange, scientific research, and internship programs.

Following the discussions, the delegation visited ASOIU’s laboratories, the History and Mineralogy Museums, and the Azerbaijani-Türkiye Friendship Center, expressing high appreciation for the university’s academic and research environment.
