On March 3, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) hosted an info session dedicated to Knovel and Reaxys, leading digital research platforms in the fields of engineering and chemistry. The event aimed to familiarize the university’s academic staff, young researchers, doctoral, and dissertation students with the effective use of these platforms for scientific research.
Opening the session, ASOIU’s Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Latafat Gardashova, emphasized the importance of enhancing scientific research activities at the university and integrating with international scientific databases. She encouraged young researchers, doctoral, and dissertation students to actively engage in research.
Following this, Rashad Shikhiev and Shamil Ahmadov, representatives of the Science and Education Analytics Center, delivered a presentation, providing detailed insights into the Knovel and Reaxys platforms. The session covered how these platforms support scientific research in engineering and chemistry and their role in improving scientometric indicators.
It should be noted that Knovel and Reaxys have been accessible to ASOIU and UFAZ researchers and students since January 2025. Similar info sessions will continue to be held regularly, creating new opportunities for researchers.
