Scientific research topics for 2026-2030 discussed at ASOIU

On March 17, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Latafat Gardashova, held a meeting with the heads of departments and research group leaders to discuss the university’s scientific research priorities for 2026-2030.

During the meeting, the current state of scientific research was reviewed, and perspectives on future developments were discussed. Professor Gardashova proposed a revision of the proposed research topics and outlined the key requirements for their selection. She emphasized the importance of ensuring that research topics align with modern scientific trends, support the country's development, correspond to university clusters, and have the potential for commercialization, patent development, and project implementation. She also stressed the necessity of defining dissertation topics for doctoral and PhD students, preparing scientific research outputs, and organizing conferences on selected topics.

Highlighting ASOIU’s vision to evolve into a National Research University, Professor Latafat Gardashova underlined the importance of advancing scientific achievements alongside academic instruction and ensuring continued progress in this direction.
