The Caspian Chapter of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) has been established.
International Association of Drilling Contractors’ Vice-President – International Development Mike DuBose and Regional Representative of the Association in Dubai Hisham Zebian paid an official visit to Baku from October 29 to November 3 by SOCAR-AQS’s invitation. During the meetings organized at SOCAR-AQS, the guests and General Director of the company Ramin Isayev held discussions about the drilling projects run by the company and became familiar with various presentations.
During the meeting, M. DuBose expressed his satisfaction with the growth of industrial enterprises in Azerbaijan, training of specialists in higher educational institutions, and generally, with the reforms implemented in the Republic, stressing that his first trip impressions were fruitful and pleasant.
The guest highly appreciated the activities of SOCAR-AQS, saying he is satisfied with the fact that the company acts as the main initiator of many national projects.
He underlined the importance of productive discussions held with national and regional partners for over 2 years with the aim to establish the IADC Caspian Chapter and presented the Membership Certificate of the newly instituted Regional Office to the General Director of the company R. Isayev.
R. Isayev thanked the IADC Vice-President for the trust and expressed his contentment with establishing in Baku the Caspian Chapter of such an esteemed international organization, which brings together drilling contractors.
Notably, IADC encompasses 1600 representatives enrolled in various areas of activity, such as oil and gas exploration, construction and operation of wells, manufacturing of oil-field equipment, and provides a continuous support to its partners in the application of the standards, which ensure safe and efficient drilling. The recently opened Caspian Chapter of IADC will play a special role in bringing together the national and regional companies, educational institutions and brain centers well known in the drilling industry.
The IADC Caspian Chapter along with SOCAR-AQS is represented by employees of international drilling companies and students of higher education institutions.
