ASOIU signs memorandum of cooperation with Baku Modern Educational Complex

On November 10 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli visited the Baku Modern Educational Complex. Rector of ASOIU firstly became acquainted with physics and chemistry laboratories, computer science room, literature room, library, and robotics exhibition in the Complex. 

A meeting was then held with the teachers and pupils of the Baku Modern Educational Complex. The meeting was attended by ASOIU Rector, Prof Mustafa Babanli, Principal of the Educational Complex, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics Mina Aliyeva, teachers and pupils of the Complex, as well as ASOIU's academic staff members and students.

Opening the event, Principal of the Baku Modern Educational Complex Mina Aliyeva greeted the guests and provided comprehensive information on the educational institution that she heads. Saying that the complex includes two schools and a nursery school, M. Aliyeva said 46.000 people have so far graduated from the educational institution. She also noted that the Complex has chosen the technical area for development, and it takes the leading position in training. M. Aliyeva said that three graduates of the Educational Complex currently study at ASOIU and added that along with Azerbaijani the training is also conducted in Russian and English languages.

Informing the attendees about ASOIU's history, international relations, development path, honorary alumni, as well as education process and faculties, Rector, Professor M. Babanli spoke about the currently conducted reforms and activities that are planned to be implemented at the university. Noting the increasing number of young people willing to receive higher education at ASOIU, Rector M. Babanli underlined that transparent education environment and instruction in line with modern standards are the main factors in this growth. Then, the Rector talked about the successful training of the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) functioning under ASOIU.

Head of ASOIU International Cooperation Office Jamila Ismayilzada made a presentation about the university. J. Ismayilzada gave extensive information about ASOIU's “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center, cooperation with foreign universities, exchange programs, and summer school.

Then, UFAZ Executive Director Vazeh Asgarov delivered a presentation about his university. Informing about admission to UFAZ, faculties and education process, V. Asgarov said young people are highly interested in UFAZ.

ASOIU and the Baku Modern Educational Complex signed a memorandum of cooperation at the meeting.

At the end of the event, Rector M. Babanli answered the questions of pupils.
