UFAZ announces vacancies

The Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) is a successful ongoing project initiated by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and France in 2014. From the French side, the project includes a consortium of French Universities headed by the University of Strasbourg (Unistra). As for the Azerbaijani side, the project is led by Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) based on the close cooperation with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. Functioning as of September 2016, the university conducts student admission for 4 technical programs. Founded under ASOIU, the University provides its graduates with the diplomas of ASOIU and the University of Strasbourg.  

 

Vacant positions:

Physics Teacher

Chemistry Teacher*

Chemistry Lab Assistant

Preference will be given to candidates meeting the selection criteria detailed as follows:

1. Master’s degree as a minimum level of education with a high average grade and distinctions in physics/chemistry;

2. Excellent level in English and able to teach physics and chemistry in English;

3. At least two years of teaching experience for those holding Bachelor’s degree and applying to Lab Assistant position;

4. Laboratory experience abroad in the field of academic research and chemical industry.

 

Additional assets in the CV:

Education experience abroad (full curriculum, mobility or training);

Familiarity with textbooks written in English;

Knowledge of modern educational methods (information and communication technologies for education);

Ph.D.;

Knowledge of French language;

Postdoc abroad;

Laboratory experience abroad in the field of academic research and chemical industry (for Lab Assistants).

 

The tasks of the Chemistry Lab Assistant: 

Set the laboratory equipment and prepare chemical reactions;

Provide the laboratory with necessary resources;

Check and ensure safety procedures;

Collect and prepare required laboratory materials before laboratory classes;

Assist the laboratory teacher during laboratory classes;

Collect the laboratory materials after completion of laboratory activities;

* Chemistry teachers must have at least two years of teaching experience in general chemistry.
