An event dedicated to the National Revival Day took place at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) on November 17.

Opening the event, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov evaluated restoration of historical memory of the people and achievement of national revival as the result of a big historical process.

Head of Social Studies Department, Professor Jamal Mustafayev noted that the national liberation movement, which started from November 17, 1988, laid the foundation of an independent Azerbaijan, waking the people's spirit of independence. He invited young people to study well the glorious pages of our history and worthily fulfill their duties.

Chairperson of the ASOIU YAP first party organization, Associate Professor Tamilla Naibova spoke about the significance of November 17 for Azerbaijan and emphasized the special role of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in gaining and strengthening our independence. Tamilla Naibova said that our republic achieved great results in the public political, economic and cultural and moral life during the leadership of the great leader, and today, this successful policy is worthily continued by the Head of state Ilham Aliyev today.
