On November 21 Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held an awareness-raising event dedicated to “World AIDS Day”, organized by the AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the event, staff members of the AIDS Center held laboratory testing for Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection. Moreover, students were provided with awareness-raising information on fighting AIDS. In conclusion, the organizers thanked the university leadership for the conditions created.

Notably, the event took place for the fifth time in the frames of the “European HIV testing week”, joined by the National AIDS Center. The events organized in the context of the campaign are aimed at preventing the spreading of HIV in Azerbaijan, raising the awareness of population of HIV/AIDS, promoting healthy and safe way of living.
