Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli held on November 30 a meeting with Khudaverdi Karimov, Executive Director of “IXUN Lasertechnik” LLC, who had great services in building the ASOIU Laser Center, and the academic staff members of the Department of Machine Building and Materials Science of the Faculty of Oil Mechanical Engineering.

At the meeting, Rector, Professor M. Babanli was given comprehensive information on activities being conducted at the Laser Center, the current status of the center and process of preparation for training. Discussions were held about the preparatory works carried out to provide staff training and implement the teaching of “Recycling and recovery technology”, and the selection process of students who will start their internship at the Center. Khudaverdi Karimov said they are about to finalize the works to ensure complete preparedness of the Laser Center for training, adding that certain inefficiencies will also be solved to enable students to undertake an internship.  

Notably, the Laser Center will be available for use of senior-year students from February 2018.
