On December 7 Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University held another information event among students on the “National Action Plan for 2016-2018 on Promotion of Open Government”.

ASOIU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Associate Professor Ata Babayev noted the significance of adoption of the “National Action Plan for 2016-2018 on Promotion of Open Government” and realization of activities arising from the plan for our country.  Associate Professor A. Babayev said as a result of regularly implemented strategy in the promotion of open government principles, prevention of corruption, expansion of the activities of civil society institutes and public control, combat against corruption our country has achieved big success.

Director of ASOIU’s Public Relations and Marketing Department Bahruz Nazarov provided information on the activities carried out at ASOIU related to tasks arising from the “National Action Plan for 2016-2018 on Promotion of Open Government”. B. Nazarov delivered a report on the creation of the electronic university, improvement of ASOIU’s Facebook page, updating of the university’s webpage, issuance of the university’s press body “Oil and Industry magazine”, creation of the Public Reliance Council and other conducted activities.  

Notably, the “National Action Plan for 2016-2018 on Promotion of Open Government” was adopted on April 27, 2016, by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The plan encompasses 58 actions grouped into 11 areas.
