ASOIU extends cooperation with Horizon-2020 Research and Innovation Framework Programme

On December 14 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with Bela Cardon, Chief Scientific Officer of Hungary’s Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (RCISD), and Jörn Grünewald, Senior Scientific Manager at the German Aerospace Center.

The meeting was attended by ASOIU Vice-Rector for Science and Technology, Doctor of Sciences for Geology and Mineralogy Rauf Aliyarov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov, Director of the Center for Intellectual Property Management Fuad Baghirov and Head of the International Cooperation Office Jamila Ismayilzada.

ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the guests about the university’s history, training process, programs, relations with foreign universities, exchange programs. Rector M. Babanli said that along with oil and gas industry, the university also conducts the training of specialists on economics, energy, IT and other specializations and spoke about the “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center, Laser Center and laboratories.

At the meeting, the sides discussed to cooperate in the field of science, technology, innovations within the frames of the Horizon-2020 Research and Innovation Framework Programme and agreed upon joint cooperation.

Notably, the Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (RCISD) is a small-sized enterprise, founded by scientists and R&D managers to carry out scientific research, to manage RTDI projects and also to participate in international coordination and support actions. From paperwork to real research, RCISD provides a wide range of services. With its resources and specialized tools RCISD aims to lower the barrier between ideas and implementation.

The mission of the Centre is to share up-to-date knowledge and RTDI information with relevant university, research, and industry stakeholders.
