ASOIU’s cooperation with German universities expands

On January 15 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the delegation, that is currently in our country to take part in the selection process of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) 2018. The meeting was attended by head of DAAD Information Center in Baku Stefanie Dufaux, professor of Ilmenau Technical University (Germany) Kerstin Pezoldt, professor of the University of Applied Sciences Emden-Leer (Germany) Günter Totzauer, head of DAAD Tbilisi Office Gebhardt Reul and head of ASOIU International Cooperation Office Jamila Ismayilzada.

The meeting featured discussions about the role of the cooperation ties with German universities and DAAD in the current cooperation. ASOIU Rector, Professor M. Babanli hailed the course of the bilateral relations and stressed the importance of developing the cooperation with a growing tempo.

Professor M. Babanli said the cooperation with DAAD is of particular significance for the university and emphasized the importance of the mutual exchange to provide higher knowledge for students. He noted the special role of DAAD in involving German professors in ASOIU, organizing student exchange and summer school, adding that it is necessary to put efforts to carry out more work in this area.

The guests expressed satisfaction with being in Azerbaijan and ASOIU, reviewed the cooperation opportunities with the university and expressed their intention to expand the volume of activities for the development of new projects.
