On February 7 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli held a meeting with the representatives of the Air Forces of the Ministry of Defence.
Expressing satisfaction with seeing the guests at the university, Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli provided them with comprehensive information on the university, training process conducted at ASOIU, and programs. Rector, Professor M. Babanli said alongside with the oil sector, the university also focuses on the training of industry-oriented specialists. He noted that the university mainly attaches importance to the training of specialists capable of serving the defence industry. Touching upon the expansion of cooperation ties to support the defence industry, which is one of the most important fields in the country, Rector M. Babanli stressed the significance of applying existing technologies and improving and applying startup projects and new devices.
The meeting featured discussions about the application of theory and practice for the strengthening of ties and involvement of students specializing in areas of possible cooperation in the manufacturing.
Expressing contentment with being at the university, representatives of the Air Forces of the Ministry of Defence said there is serious demand for specialized personnel in this field. Underlining the specialist training in the use and application of new technologies and installations for the defence industry, the Ministry officials touched upon the joint implementation of the training content in this area.
Then, the sides discussed the possible areas of cooperation and planning of the work to be jointly conducted. At the end of the meeting, they signed a “Cooperation Contract on the organization of students’ internships and cooperation”.
After the meeting, the guests visited the Laser Center of the university.
