On February 6 representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America in Azerbaijan – Cultural and Educational Affairs Officer Heidi Smith and Outreach Programs Director Aydan Asgarova were the guests of the Startup and Innovation Center of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The guests were welcomed by Vice-Rector for Science and Technology Rauf Aliyarov, coordinators of the Center Tural Gojayev and Jamal Agayev. They briefed the guests on the work being conducted at the university in the field of innovations and the processes regarding the development of startup projects.
Prototypes of some projects (KubriRub – a 3D format game and marketing platform, Smart Keyboard, Multivizor – widescreen monitor, Camtouch – an installation that enables to transform any flat surface into a smart board) designed at the Startup and Innovation Center were presented to the guests during the meeting.
The Embassy representatives spoke about events and programs realized by the U.S on innovative entrepreneurship. They said they will promote the participation of ASOIU startupers in such events and contests, as well as help invite to ASOIU American specialists in innovations, innovative entrepreneurship, startups, and technology transfer.
