On February 13 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Mehmet Biber, Rector of Ardahan University, Turkey.

ASOIU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov, Vice-Rector for Science and Technology (for scientific affairs), Associate Professor Rauf Aliyarov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Rafig Jamalov and delegation of Ardahan University took part in the meeting.

Expressing satisfaction with welcoming the guests at the university, ASOIU Rector, Professor Babanli provided them with comprehensive information on the university’s history, training process, faculties, statistics, international relations, second higher education, startup projects, foreign students and the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) functioning under the university.

Rector of Ardahan University, Prof. Dr. Biber informed about the university he heads and highlighted that he attaches great significance to the cooperation with ASOIU. Speaking about the projects aimed at involving ASOIU professors and specialized lecturers in Ardahan University, as well as conducting the mobility of students and academic personnel, Rector Biber said they are interested in cooperation in this area. He also added that Russian-taught programs take a special position at Ardahan University and stressed the importance of the cooperation with ASOIU in this area.

Then the sides reviewed joint work opportunities with students and academic staff members and discussed cooperation areas and prospects.

The meeting ended with signing a cooperation contract on Mevlana Exchange Program.
