On February 26 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with fourth-year students of the Faculty of Power Engineering and the Faculty of Economics and Management and their academic supervisors.

A moment of silence was first observed for the victims of the Khojaly genocide. Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli spoke about the Khojaly genocide, one of the most brutal massacres committed against humanity 26 years ago.

Then, Rector, Professor Babanli provided the attendees with information on students’ diploma theses and daily internship. Speaking about the daily internship program at the university, Rector Babanli stressed the importance of holding internships related to thesis topics and controlling the attendance of students in the practical internship. Rector Babanli also talked about thesis preparations of final-year students and admission to Master’s degree.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov provided students with general information on the practical internship and diploma theses.

Later, Akbar Mammadov, a senior student at the Faculty of Economics and Management, was awarded for delivering a successful lecture on “Value-added tax” within the project “My lecture”.

In the end, participants received answers to their questions.
