On February 26 the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) under Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held an event in commemoration of the Khojaly genocide victims.
A moment of silence was first observed for the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
Opening the event, UFAZ Executive Director, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov spoke about the history of the Khojaly genocide taken place 26 years ago and the tragedy committed against our people by Armenians.
Then, UFAZ students presented a program dedicated to the Khojaly genocide. UFAZ student Baylar Zarbaliyev gave a comprehensive information in English about Khojaly.
“Khojaly genocide”, a film made by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, was then shown at the commemoration event. UFAZ student Ilkin Safarli spoke about the history of Armenian aggression and performed the song “Sari Gelin” on violin.
