On February 28 the Academic Board of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) held its next meeting. Before passing to issues on the agenda, ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli congratulated Jahid Karimov, professor and advisor of the Machine Building and Materials Science Department, on his 80th anniversary and wished him success in his and future endeavors.     

ASOIU Rector, Professor Mustafa Babanli informed the Board members about the issues on the agenda. Then, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Gasim Mammadov provided the Academic Board members with comprehensive information on the results of the winter examination session.

Director of the Industrial Enterprises Staff Development and Retraining Institute, Associate Professor Hamlet Huseynov informed about the status of training of highly specialized staff. Coordinator of ASOIU “eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center Tural Gojayev made a report on the activities of the Center. Dean of the Faculty of Power Engineering, Associate Professor Zakir Hasanov made a yearly report.

The meeting also featured discussions about the results of the Ph.D. admission to, status of the use of the e-university, disciplinary rules, status of the student dormitory and other issues.
